Looking at your Christmas decorations, contemplating "Where will I get the energy for decorating?"
Are you saying "I don't feel like decorating? Let's skip Christmas."
Then you ask "Why do I decorate, what is the point?"
You may have already asked others in the house to decorate with you and you got a negative response like "I'm to busy, don't have the time!"
Or maybe you just jumped right in and said "Let the decorating begin!"
You may have jumped in and said "Let's get this over with." You did it all out of expectations from others in the family or pressure from the messages the world sends like "Make it look good because if it looks good you are good."
What was your mind, heart and spirit like as you were decorating?
If you have not started yet, ask yourself (or maybe you already did) "Where is my Christmas Spirit?"
In the next couple weeks, let us explore together where will the "Christmas Spirit" come from? Will it be a feeling? Will we get a sudden jolt of energy and joy that we will be able to decorate, cook, bake, write Christmas cards,attend Christmas parties, and finally visit with family we have not been talking to?
How will we get the Spirit? What should I be feeling right now as I prepare?
Well, I think for today I will just let you figure out where you are with the idea of Christmas. After all it is 28 days away. Just sayin!

DELIVER US FROM EVIL
2 Timothy 4:16-18 (NKJV)
At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.
The Lord Is Faithful
But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
The Devil preys around during the Holidays to devour us. His greatest tactic is making us feel lonely, like no one cares. He cares! Cast all your cares to Him, because he loves you!
I WILL DELIVER YOU FROM EVERY EVIL WORK AND PRESERVE YOU! -GOD-
Believe it, receive it!
PRAYER: Father I believe that You will deliver me from evil. I will never be alone for You are with me. Thank You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

DO YOU LOVE THE LORD?
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16 NIV
I find this passage in Psalm 91 very uplifting. Ask yourself "Do you love the Lord?" If your answer is yes, continue reading.
Try putting your name in like I did.
"Because He loves (put your name here) Elaine," says the Lord,
"I will rescue Elaine;
I will protect her, for she acknowledges me.
She will call upon Me, and I will answer her;
I will be with her in trouble,
I will deliver her and honor her.
With long life will I satisfy her and show her my salvation."
I hope these words soothe your soul for the day!

GOD, I'M TELLING THE WORLD WHAT YOU DO
PSALM 73:25-28
You're all I want in heaven!
You're all I want on earth!
When my skin sags and my bones get brittle,
God is rock-firm and faithful.
Look! Those who left you are falling apart!
Deserters, they'll never be heard from again.
But I'm in the very presence of God—
oh, how refreshing it is!
I've made Lord God my home.
God, I'm telling the world what you do!
It seems at times as if the dishonest people are prevailing in our world. They have the best of best.
What will happen at the end of your life? What will happen at the end of their life?
Our eternity is with God. Time spent with God in eternity will be longer than our time here on earth.
What really matters? The Psalmist suggests to us what he did:
I've made Lord God my home.
